Probate/Guardianship Court Calendars:

  • Probate/Guardianship (ie, Noticed Hearings): 10:30  – 11:30 daily, Working Papers required, party sets own hearing date & time.
  • Ex Parte Agreed Cases (ie, “Walking Papers through Court”):
    • Attorneys: 9 – 11:30 AM or 1:30 – 3:45 PM daily, first come/first served.
    • Pro ses: 1:30 – 3:45 PM daily, first come/first served.
  • Ex Parte Motion:
    • Downtown: 9 – 11:30 AM or 1:30 – 3:45 PM daily, first come/first served or for time noted.
    • Kent: 9:30 – 11:30 AM daily, first come/first served or for time noted.

Opening a probate file at the Clerk’s Office requires a completed King County Case Assignment Designation & Case Information Cover Sheet.

The Clerk’s Office supplies Letters, so you don’t have to prepare a Letters form.

If you are filing a Petition for Probate and the Will has already been filed as a Will-Only, you must go to the Clerk’s Office to get the Will before going to Court.
